Nice weekend, cold start to next week [Video]

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Some colder, drier air will spread across the Carolinas for the start of the work week, until then we’ll get to enjoy one more warm day before temperatures take a tumble.

• Sunday: Partly sunny, warm
• Monday: Partly cloudy, cooler
• Tuesday: Sunny, cold

Our warm and pleasant weekend will give way to a couple of nights of freezing temperatures early next week. Tonight, temperatures will stay above freezing under partly cloudy skies. Lows will range from the 50s in Charlotte to 40s in the mountains. Tomorrow will be another gorgeous day with partly sunny skies and highs in the lower 70s.

By Monday, a cold dome of high pressure will begin diving into central Plains spreading some much colder air into our area. Monday will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s.
