Nonprofit organization hosting summit to help small businesses in rural areas [Video]

MONROE, La. (KNOE) – UNUM One Foundation is coming to Monroe to host its Horizon Global Agriculture Investment Summit.

According to their website, the summit helps grow rural areas into economic centers through networking and development discussion.

The group says those attending the summit will discover the latest in agricultural technology, network with top industry executives, and attend business workshops.

UNUM One Foundation strives to uplift small businesses and provide them with resources, specifically minority and black businesses.

This is a two-day summit from June 12th to the 13th. It will be at the William Clark Innovation Center (formerly known as CenturyLink- Lumen). They say this conference aims to transform under-represented entrepreneurs in agriculture financially.
