OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – The Oshkosh Fire Department partnered with a Colorado-based company to help older adults improve their balance and lower their risk of falling.
Oshkosh partnered with Nymbl, an at-home balance training app, to make the app free to city residents who are at least 60 years old.
You can download the app to a smartphone or tablet. It works on Apple or Android products.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says Wisconsin has the highest fall death rate among older adults in the United States.
In 2022, the last time a full CDC report was done, Wisconsin emergency officials responded to over 130,000 falls.
Nymbl claims it can help 90% of people maintain their activity. It also says 65% of people who use Nymbl say their balance significantly improved.
