Phil Usher’s Odyssey Lifestyle Care Communities buys Stockland site on QLD’s Hope Island for two tower development [Video]

One of the nation’s most innovative minds in aged care has exclusively revealed to The SOURCE his next multi-million dollar venture. 

Phil, with the financial might of the super fund Australian Retirement Trust (created from the merger of Sunsuper and QSuper) has secured a 4,639sqm waterfront site, with a 180m north-facing frontage to Hope Island Canal on Hope Island on Queensland’s Gold Coast from the diversified property developer. Stockland had paid $13.5 million to the administrators of Fish Developments for the site in 2017.

Stockland had sought approval from Gold Coast City Council in October last year for a dual-tower residential development rising 10-storeys for 166 apartments.

Phil, one of the pioneers of private aged care under retirement living legislation, said Odyssey Lifestyle Care Communities would be lodging its own development application for an innovative resort over two towers.
