Popular coffee shop on Buffalo’s West Side is closing, for now [Video]

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A popular coffee shop on Buffalo’s West Side is temporarily closing.

Remedy House, which has been in business for more than six years, announced Tuesday on Instagram that “effective immediately we will close our doors as we prepare the transition to new ownership. After a lot of careful deliberation and planning, we have decided the time has come for us to move on.”

Remedy House owners said they are dedicated to helping a “future version” of the shop get going in Buffalo’s Five Points neighborhood.

About a year ago, Remedy House workers went on strike before deciding that that they would form a union.
