Irish-headquartered edutech company Prodigy Learning has partnered with the educational arm of Microsoft-owned Minecraft, the world-building game with 140m monthly players.
Prodigy Learning already delivers a computer science credential called Coding in Minecraft through the Minecraft Education platform.
The progam teaches computer science and coding through game-based learning and offers students industry-recognised credentials.
The announcement builds on the implementation of Coding with Minecraft in schools systems in Northern Ireland, New South Wales and a number of US states.
