Project to transform I-285, SR 400 to affect ramp access at interchange starting Friday, officials say [Video]

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The latest stage of a years-long project to improve traffic conditions at the I-285/SR 400 interchange will result in a weekslong ramp closure starting Friday night, according to officials with the City of Sandy Springs.

Starting around 9 p.m. on Friday, April 26, Georgia Department of Transportation contractors “will begin bridge approach and pavement enhancement work” as part of the Transform 285/400 project, Sandy Springs officials said Wednesday.

They said the work will require an estimated five-week closure and detour of SR 400 southbound and I-285 westbound ramp access to the Glenridge Connector.
