Protecting kids while spreading hope: CHIPS Center shares how adults can prevent child abuse [Video]

During Child Abuse Prevention Month, advocates are encouraging adults to take an active approach to protecting children.Debra Schneider, executive director at the CHIPS Center of Children’s Alabama, said there are many ways to do this, one being educating your children on their body parts and what behavior is considered to be inappropriate.”Around 18 months is what pediatricians say you’re teaching them, you know, where their eyes are, their nose, their mouth, and that’s when you just introduce their private parts,” Schneider said. “You can use the anatomically correct or what I refer to as the doctor terms.
