SHERMAN, Wis. (WBAY) – No one was hurt after a fire spread across two barns in Sheboygan County, but the damage is likely to be costly.

Calls to 911 just after 8 p.m. Monday reported a fire on Silver Creek-Cascade Road in the town of Sherman in the southwestern part of the county.

Deputies saw a two-story barn in flames and a small attached barn starting on fire.

Fire crews from Adell, Ada, Belgium, Boltonville, Cascade, Cedar Grove, Elkhart Lake, Fredonia, Howards Grove, Oostburg, Random Lake, Silver Creek, Waldo, Waubeka and Wilson all responded to the scene, along with Adell First Responders and Random Lake Ambulance.

Authorities say the barns and what was inside of them are total losses. They included farm machinery, lawn care equipment, and boats.

The Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Unit is assisting the Adell Fire Department.
