A concreting company has caused controversy online after its workers began ripping up a customer’s freshly laid driveway after they refused to pay the remainder of an invoice.
Clare Concreting labourer, Damian Hallet, said the business was contracted to do some landscaping and lay a concrete driveway earlier this month at a home in the South Australian town of Clare.
Concerned he wasn’t going to be paid, Hallet said he asked the customer to pay the full invoice before he completed the final stage of work. He said the customer initially refused but later agreed to pay for the work before the concrete set.

Hallet said once the concrete was poured, the customer refused to pay an outstanding $3,500.
