STA releases Expo ’74 fare cards [Video]

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Transit Authority (STA) released special edition fare cards celebrating the 50th anniversary of Expo ’74.

STA announced the special edition cards on Thursday. Cards will be available starting May 3 at the STA Booth at the Bloomsday Trade show, and May 4 at the STA Plaza customer service counter.

STA is also offering riders a way to transfer funds from one card to the special edition Expo ’74 cards. STA customer service is available at (509) 328-7433 to help with this service.

Expo ’74 kicks off on May 4, 2024 to July 4, 2024. It celebrates the 50th anniversary of the World’s Fair held in Spokane in 1974. The celebration will have events, live performances featuring artistic, cultural and community organizations around the region. 

The event officially kicks off in Riverfront Park on May 4.
