Stoney Acres highlights its farm-to-table ways with return of Pizza on the Farm [Video]

ATHENS, Wis. (WSAW) – Stoney Acres’ “Pizza on the Farm” returned for the season on Friday.

The farm’s owner Tony Schultz says he doesn’t expect business to be too busy on the first weekend, but it’s a great opportunity to build his craft at making pizzas. The popular event gives people the chance to see an organic farm and order dinner at the same time with farm-to-fork ingredients. People can eat inside or outside. The beer hall has heated indoor seating for up to 170.

Schultz says they plan on making around 30 pizzas for the opening weekend.

“Everything comes from the farm,” Schultz said. “So I raised the wheat. I grind it into flour in my Garnier upstairs with a 20-inch stone mill. That is the basis of my dough.”

It’s not just what’s on the pizza. The sauce is also what makes them so delicious.
