Severe weather is rolling across the News 5 viewing area, bringing watches and warnings with it.

Essentially, all modes of severe weather are possible on Wednesday afternoon and evening. The highest threat is from destructive wind gusts over 60 mph. Heavy rain and flooding along with power outages from lightning is also a possibility. Hail the size of quarters could also bring damage to vehicles or rooftops.
The heat building this afternoon will bring enough instability and fuel for the storms.

A Tornado Warning has been issued for the following areas until 5 p.m.

- Holmes
- Richland
A Tornado Watch has been issued until 7 p.m. for the following counties in our area:
- Ashland
- Cuyahoga
- Erie
- Huron
- Lorain
- Medina
- Richland
- Wayne
The following counties are under a Tornado Watch until midnight:
- Ashtabula
- Geauga
- Lake
- Portage
- Stark
- Summit
