UConn mens basketball rolls over Xavier in Big East Tournament [Video]

NEW YORK, NY (WFSB) – The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team took on Xavier in the Big East Tournament on Thursday afternoon.

UConn defeated Xavier 87-60.

The game tipped off at noon in Madison Square Garden in New York.

Top-seeded UConn had a bye for the first round, so Thursday’s game was a quarterfinals matchup.

Ninth-seeded Xavier defeated 8th seeded Butler on Wednesday to get there.

Watch parties were scheduled at Kinsmen Brewing in Southington and Two Roads Brewing Company in Stratford. However, those looking to attend were asked to register here.
