TONIGHT, UNCG’S PROVOST DEBBIE STORRS WILL STEP DOWN AT THE END OF THE MONTH AS SHE FIGHTS STAGE FOUR BREAST CANCER. STORRS, WHO HAS BEEN WITH THE UNIVERSITY SINCE JULY OF 2021, MADE THE ANNOUNCEMENT ON WEDNESDAY AND IN HER MESSAGE, SHE DEFENDED UNCG’S CONTROVERSIAL DECISION TO CUT 20 ACADEMIC PROGRAMS.
