Wayside Publishing acquires Dublin EdTech Nualang [Video]

Wayside Publishing, based in Freeport, Maine, has announced the acquisition of Nualang, a Dublin EdTech company.

The deal concluded in February 2024 with founders Greg Cawley and John McQuillan stepping down from the board of Nualang operating company Travel Tech Labs Ltd.

Nualang helps students learn languages confidently through conversation. The venture was established in 2016 and trades out of an office on Joshua Lane off Dawson Street in central Dublin.

According to the company, the Nualang platform offers a unique approach, enabling students to build confidence and proficiency in a new language with a particular focus on students’ speaking skills through its innovative conversation features.

“Nualang’s benefits extend beyond the students; the intuitive interface and user-friendly tools enable teachers to create digital courses to help students achieve their language learning goals, making the experience easier and more effective for everyone involved,” a Waystone statement explained.
