LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The new week starts off with near record or record high temperatures BUT a potent cold front brings back winter-like conditions… including the chance for light snow.

Monday is forecasted to be the warmest day of the year so far! Many locations across the state will take a run at record high temperatures as highs are forecasted to be in the upper 60s to upper 70s. MAYBE even the first 80-degree high temperature this year will be in the running. Lincoln will make a run at reaching a 128-year-old record. It’ll be a mainly sunny day with some clouds building in by the evening hours. Winds between 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 25 to 30 mph. In addition, the dry, warm and slightly breezy conditions will result in a Red Flag Warning for majority of the state.
