Amy Richardson’s home needed repair. “My house is old. It was built in 1914, so it would take a special person to renovate my bathroom,” Richardson said. That special person was Steven Morgan Byers. He began working in her home on Halloween 2022. But, when things started to get fishy, she figured out who he was. “We started putting two and two together and did some research and found his extensive rap sheet, all of his aliases,” Richardson said. Richardson said she lost $41,000. She wanted to get that money back by taking Byers to civil court. “I know he’s got cases that he lost, and he owes money,” she said.
