Windy start to the week in Arizona, rain chances later [Video]

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — Happy Sunday everyone! It will be a nice end to our weekend with high temperatures in the lower 80s across Phoenix, with mostly cloudy skies into Monday. We are tracking a couple of weak weather systems that will pass by the state this upcoming week, which will bring rain, wind and cooler temperatures to the state.

By Tuesday, temperatures will fall into the mid-70s, and lower level moisture will bring rain chances, with the best chance of light activity Tuesday over the higher terrain north and east of Phoenix. We aren’t expecting much accumulation — looking like a tenth to a quarter of an inch in those areas.

The wind will also pick up with gusts to 50 mph in northern and eastern Arizona on Monday and Tuesday. The National Weather Service has a Wind Advisory for northern Arizona for those two days.
