Woman creates home for handmade artists with galleria in Wahoo [Video]

WAHOO, Neb. (KOLN) – Angie Craft’s business is more than an art gallery. It’s a galleria where Nebraska-created products go beyond wall art. While all of the creations are from the Cornhusker State, the owner of the Sassafras Galleria is not.

Craft grew up in the southeastern part of the U.S.

“I’m originally from North Carolina, and when I married, I moved to South Carolina,” Craft said. “Sassafras reminds me of home. So I just thought, I wanted a little bit of my southern roots to show – other than my accent.”

Before starting the Sassafras Galleria, Craft expressed herself through drying out and decorating gourds. Craft said it’s a popular art form where she’s from.
