Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Emer Higgins TD., has officially opened the new office space of consumer technology company, Coroflo, in DCU Alpha in Dublin.
Coroflo, a pioneer in consumer medtech space, has developed the world’s first accurate breast-feeding monitor, Coro.
The company has successfully achieved technical and clinical validation, and having secured contracts with several pharmacy retail chains including McCabes and McCauleys is building production and launching ‘Coro’ to the market later this year.
With a recent funding round of €3m and a total investment to date of €6m, Coroflo is eyeing a trajectory of swift and sustainable expansion.
The company has doubled its workforce in the last six months and aims to further expand its workforce with six additional hires over the next 12 months.
Coroflo has also recently appointed former Tánaiste Mary Harney to its board.
Speaking at the event Minister Emer Higgins highlighted the government’s endorsement of Coroflo’s contribution and commitment to technological innovation and employment growth.
