Ferguson, Reichert top campaign contributions list in Washington governors race [Video]

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Attorney General Bob Ferguson (D) and former Congressman Dave Reichert (R) are ahead in early campaign contributions in the race for Washington governor.

According to Public Disclosure Commission data, Ferguson has received $6,400,000 in campaign contributions since registering to run for Washington’s highest office in May 2023. About $5,000,000 of that amount has come from individual contributors, while $230,000 has come from businesses.

An additional $50,000 boost was offered by several unions and $50,000 in funding came from PAC contributions.

Reichert has received $2,500,000 in contributions since declaring his candidacy in June 2023. Approximately $1,800,000 of that has come from individual donors, with businesses offering $76,000 and PACS contributions totaling $6,500.

Reichert has received almost no financial support from any union as of April 18.

Ferguson and Reichert’s closest primary contenders are both notably behind in early campaign contributions.
