FLINT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) – Ongoing questions continue to linger regarding the Genesee Valley Center. Over the last few months, ABC 12 reported on multiple water main issues and a couple of weeks ago, another retailer, Buckle, closed up shop.
Multiple small business owners at the mall say they keep getting calls, where customers are asking if they’re open.
The mall is still open.
“We are working with the mall owners trying to make everything better at the mall for our community, and that is where we are at right now,” said the Flint Township Economic Enhancement Director, Tracey Tucker. “And they need the area to support them,” she added.
A small business owner, who has rented a space in the Genesee Valley Center for years, wished to remain anonymous, but say they want the clarify the public’s perception.
