PITCH Hamburg boosts small businesses through mentorship, programming, funding [Video]

BUFFALO, N.Y. — PITCH Hamburg just announced its second cohort of small businesses that it aims to help through mentorship, programming, and a chance to win $5,000 in grant money.

“We want to improve the economic vibrancy that already exists here, so we only accept people who are not in direct competition with other businesses. I think having that piece of it really helps with having support from other small businesses,” executive director Annamaria Masucci said.

The five founders in this year’s cohort with pitch their companies at the second community Pitch event coming up in May at Hilbert College. Three will win a $5,000 grant to expand their business. PITCH Hamburg is supported by the Hamburg Industrial Development Agency, the town of Hamburg, and local sponsors, including other small businesses.
