Is Remote Work Right For You? [Video]

Some introspection can help you figure out if working remotely would suit you. Ask yourself:

What kinds of professions do I find truly interesting or fulfilling? If you lean toward fields that tend to be onsite (medical, construction, childcare, event management, etc.), that might be a clue that a remote role isn’t for you.

Where would I like to live? Not all work-from-home jobs allow you to work from anywhere. Some companies may have more flexible policies while others only hire in certain areas.

What personal requirements do I have? List any life circumstances that require you to fit work around them. These will factor into the kind of jobs that work best for you.

What daily routines bring me the most satisfaction? If you prefer to be surrounded by familiar faces, going into an office may be a better fit for you.

How well can I manage myself? Good communication and self-management skills are key for those who work from home.
