Local coffee entrepreneur raises the bar for specialty product in Hagerstown [Video]

WILLIAMSPORT, Md. (DC News Now) — The Chamber of Commerce honored a local business owner in Hagerstown for his entrepreneurship.

Craig Campbell launched River Bottom Roasters, a wholesale and retail operation that started in his garage, turned roastery. The operation turned into a café and shop for his craft product.

From his travel in coffee growing regions of the Americas, he developed an appreciation for the quality of beans.

“I am committed to Rain Forest Alliance-certification and the bean has to come from a small farmer that we can help support,” Campbell said. “We raise the quality of their life by paying them more because that’s what their coffee is actually worth.”

With Williamsport being a popular destination for hiking, biking and Potomac River water enthusiasts, River Bottom Roasters hopes to become a popular destination for coffee lovers.
