Winona ISD trustees name athletic director, head football coach [Video]

WINONA, Texas — Winona ISD trustees named its new athletic director and head football coach during their Thursday board meeting. 

Kenneth Cook, who has been an “integral part of Winona High School” for the past seven years, officially became the next athletic director and head football coach with unanimous support. 

Cook started teaching and coaching at Chapel Hill High School, where he spent eight years. During his time there, he was an assistant coach and special teams coordinator. He played an instrumental role in the football program’s wins like the state championship in 3A Division 1 football in 2011 and achieving the state runner-up position in 2010.
